Production Companies almost always have needs for Extras – all those people you see in the background in movies and TV shows -- the people in the street, in restaurants, bars, offices, at the ballpark, etc. Extras can be people of all races, ages, sizes and ‘looks’, and there’s no acting, training or particular skill required. Everybody can do it. Many of our Star Search Casting members make plenty of money being Extras and paid off their membership for the year on their first day of working as an Extra.

Extras regularly receive anywhere from $85 to up to $150 per day of work. Many of our Star Search Casting members make plenty of money just being Extras, and of course, actors who are looking to break into the industry often work as Extras. The pay is good and it gives them a chance to make connections, meet the stars, and possibly get their big break through a connection or being at the right place at the right time.
