This is a scam that has been going around for a while now. The name of the person sending the message keeps changing but they always say they are a freelance modeling agent working for Sharks Motors or Dolphin Autos.

This scammer also uses the names: Lilian Jones ( liljones072000@yahoo.com ), Dr. Frederick Young ( younger_nick117@yahoo.com ), Martins Johnson, Bills Robort, Remi Singleton ( Remisingleton@gmail.com or Remi.goldenways@gmail.com or goldenways@gmail.com ), Scott Childers, Benjamin Martins ( ben00234@gmail.com ), Peter Tony, James Walker ( agent_jwalker123@yahoo.com ), and Adam Spade ( adam.spade@yahoo.com ). What out for this scam. He will mail you a fake money order that will bounce if you deposit it in your bank account.

This is the same scammer running the Rac Motors scam which you can read about here: http://www.starsearc...howtopic=107166

This is the first message they send out:

"My name is Benjamin Martins. Am freelance modeling agent working for Sharks Motors in Westside, IA . I saw your profile and pictures. I appreciate them and I would like us to do some works together. I presently have good offer for you. I want to know if you are interested in modeling because I need pictures of a good looking person who will be on the magazine cover of one of my Auto sales Company.

Please let me know if you are interested in the Job. You stand a chance of making reasonable $750 from this deal to start, and even a noticeable fame. Let me know if you are interested in my offer and I would give you further details."

I've received another e-mail stating they will send the money up front to me. After I receive that they will send a photographer and make-up artist to my area which is on the east coast of the States.
They are asking for my name, address and phone number before anything.
Sounds to FISHY to me!

Thanks for the help. <_<

This sounds like a scam. Many scammers will say they will send you money upfront and then they send you a fake money order which bounces. It would be helpful if you can copy and paste all of the messages this person sent you here so we can get more information.

Bills Robort is also running this same scam.

Oh, sorry for the miss understanding in the message.I was just trying to let you know what type of pictures we do.The base line is that there is no nudity in the shoots, The mai thing is casuals and some costumes that will be ordered from Africa.I am sure you will like the concept of the shoots.Your body and all other was taken into consideration before contacting you.

Thanks.
Remi.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response and interest. The taken pictures will be used for the magazine cover of my client and the web site which is under construction. The name of the company is Shark Motors and also magazines under printing, it has just been established in Netherlands also.

Presently the company needs a model to advertise their products and am giving you the offer. The website of the company is under construction and your pictures will be exhibited on their website and also after the first set of picture sent, their products and magazines will be sent to you in order for you to know about the company. Subsequently depending on you, you could be invited over to the company to sign a contract with you.The location of the shoots will be somewhere close to where you are located. There is a photographer for the project. As soon as we agree, the photographer will get in touch with you to agree on the location, date and time of the shoots.

As written in my previous mail, you will get $750 to start which will be sent to you immediately. After payment has been received, the photo shoots will be taken and sent to the company. There will be a pre -arranged photographer and hair/ make up artist that will be coming over to you for the shoots. They will be contacting you for proper arrangement of time and location after payments has been made. Guess the arrangement is understood. In order for payment to be made to you, provide me with the following details:

NAME:
ADDRESS:
PHONE NUMBER:

I await your response.

Thanks.

This was sent by a person who was contacted by this scammer:

"I just recently was asked to do a modeling job by a man who saw my
profile, and was paid in advance with a check of 2900.00 and was supposed
to take 750.00 out for myself and wire the rest to the "make-up artist and
hair stylist" but when I took it to the bank they informed me that the
check was a fraud. Had I cashed the check I would have been responsible
for paying back the entire amount to the bank when the check came back
bad. The mans name is "Remi Singleton" and he sends e-mail under the name
of "Crystal Hayes" and the check was signed by a man named "Scott
Childers" which was also the man that the rest of the 2900.00 was supposed
to be mailed to. It was supposed to be for a photo shoot for a magizine
called "Shark Motors" so be very careful."

This is from a person who was contacted by this scammer:

I received one of those scam messages you warned everyone about. When i
went to check out the company on the internet before I replied, I found
other people who also received the same email. One girl said that they
were emailing her back and fourth and ended up sending her a check to cash
and then asked her to keep her cut and send them the rest so that they
could pay another model in the same area. The checks are fake and it takes
the bank about 2 weeks to inform you about it. Then the bank ends up
charging you for the money you took out, plus any fees that go along with
it. This is part of a very large Nigerian scam that has been going around
for quite a long time now. Please inform the people of what is going on so
that no one is tricked into believing these con-artists. Thank you for
your time.

The scam message is as follows:

"Hello,
My name is Remi Singleton. Am freelance modeling agent working for Sharks
Motors in Westside, IA. I saw your profile and pictures while surfing the
internet, I appreciate them and I would like us to do some works together.
I presently have good offer for you. I want to know if you are interested
in modeling because I need pictures of a good looking person who will be
on the magazine cover of one of my Auto sales Company.

Please let me know if you are interested in the Job. You stand a chance of
making reasonable $750 from this deal to start, and even a noticeable
fame. Let me know if you are interested in my offer and I would give you
further details.

Beware anyone wishing to put money into you before even having received your official headshots. Please keep in mind folks that nothing is for free and real money will not likely be sent to you without having done a job, or without having a very extensive and successful portfolio. Even if the later were the case, they would still have your headshots.

Headshots are like the icebreaker for any long distance contracting. Think about it! Would you do business with anyone about their looks without having seen them? Your hard copy headshots are more then just a picture (they can get that from your profile), its you saying you're very interested in the job. After they get the headshots, they're very likely to ask for more samples.

This is just how it goes when trying to negotiate a contract from a distance. No headshots being exchanged, its probably not serious.

Them sending you "money" or "checks" before even having asked for an official headshot is a huge red flag.

If you reply this is the second message she will send you:

"Thanks for the quick response and interest. The taken pictures
will be used for the magazine cover of my client and the web site
which is under construction. The name of the company is
Sharks Motors and also magazines under printing, it has just
been established in Netherlands also.

Presently the company needs a model to advertise their
products and am giving you the offer. Your pictures will be
exhibited on their website and also after the first set of picture
sent, their products and magazines will be sent to you in order
for you to know about the company. Subsequently depending
on you, you could be invited over to the company to sign a
contract with you.

As written in my previous mail, you will get $500 to start which
will be sent to you immediately. After payment has been
received, the photo shoots will be taken and sent to the
company. There will be a pre-arranged photographer and hair/
make up artist that will be coming over to you for the shoots.
They will be contacting you for proper arrangement of time and
location after payments has been made. Guess the arrangement
is understood. In order for payment to be made to you, provide
me with the following details:

NAME:
ADDRESS:
PHONE NUMBER:

I await your response.
LILIAN JONES"
