I am looking for a full time person to take on a rather unique and speculative position with me in my studio. I am already quite successful, but need someone to motivate me, assist me almost constantly, and most importantly, help preserve, protect, and promote my image in this industry. I have the precise vision of how this is to be done, but just need the help of a wise, ambitious, charming, creative, and personable "assistant" to get us on top and on to that next level.
This is a slightly risky endevour, as the pay will be very commission based, but I personally think it will work if you are everything I listed above, and besides, my ideas almost always work when I actually DO them.
Be prepared to work 40 hours per week TOTAL (no more than this ever), including some nights, and some weekends (this part is always fun), and be prepared to monetarily have at least a 3 week cushion on hand in case things start out a little slow.
I cannot stress enough that this job is not for someone with an overly busy social life - one or two nights a week you'll have a social function.
The following will help you:
a college degree, photo experience, knowledge of Photoshop and/or Lightroom, other web savvy skills, any marketing or event planning experience or education, an attitude that you are working "with" someone, rather than for them, transportation, a strong liking to attend social events.
Applicants should email us with a few sentences or more, plus any resume, Facebook or Myspace links (don't worry - it can be crazy so long as you clean up well), and any other usefull info (web links, etc..).
As for pay, first convince me that you are the one to hire, as there will be dozens responding.
Though mostly commission, the RIGHT person should make nearly as much, possibly more, than my hourly people here in the office.
After a week or two if things are not working out for us, we can agree to part ways if we need to, but again, the right person could OWN
this position and consequently, we could both be making lotsa $ !
