Catherine: 50ish socialite. She is also snobby but in a charming way and generally a good person with a cold demeanor. She is very proud and refuses to give in to her new found poverty.

Antonio: probably Italian but maybe other; he's a Brooklyn/Bronx kind of guy who is much more than he seems. He is the 'father figure' on the show and the person who manipulates with a smile. Actors must be able to do a local New York accent.

Dick: He's nouveau riche and totally unaware of it. He lives for his wife, Muffy. They have no children and like to spend their time climbing social ladders but get nowhere.
