Seeking candidates for feature length musical being filmed in Houston. Email houstonmusical@gmail.com with resume, headshots, and/or reel. Please include any time and/or date conflicts between 6-10 and 8-1. Don’t be shy or intimidated. What you send can be as formal or informal as you like. We are shooting over 9 days beginning July 12. Candidates will be screened and invitations sent out for casting call to take place in the Galleria area on Sunday, June 7. Specifics:

Leads
1. Female. 15-18. Cinderella beauty with dynamic voice and broad appeal.
2. Male. 16-18. Bookworm. Dry sense of humor. Impeccable comic timing. Singing less important but does sing.
3. Male. 16-18. Tough guy. Have a good scowl. Think of a younger Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. Sings a little.

Incidental Roles
1. Nerdy students (3). M or F. 15-16. No singing required.
2. Police Commissioner. M or F. 30-60. No singing.
3. High School Principal. M or F. 30-60. No singing.
4. Librarian. F. 30-65. Considering “sexy” librarian or “innocent old lady”.
5. Monotone voice. Off Camera. M or F. Any age.

Extras
1. Two half-days of small extra roles. All types considered. People at a park. People in a library.
2. One full-day of auditorium scene. Need +/- 150 people for +/- 4 hours. Mostly high school students but all types welcome.
Three days of shoots require extras. Looking for all types. We definitely need a lot of high school-aged actors. Casual 1994 attire.

Crew
1. Hair and Make-up artist. Need to recreate 1994. No substantial effects although one scene requires after effects of severe hammer blow to the head (bandaged).
2. Gaffer/light techs. Mostly INT but two EXT half days. Consult during prepro and work on shoot days.
