    Young Monique – African American 8 year old, that is exposed to all the wrong things at a very young age. She copes with

    pain by writing poetry in her journal. She is very strong for her young age and is practically raising her self.



    Eleanor- African American, 30’s, Monique’s mother, she is a crack addict that does not take care of her daughter she only lives for

    her boyfriend and the drug he has introduced into her life.



    Johnathan- African American, 30’s, Eleanor’s boyfriend, he is abusive to Eleanor, a crack fiend, and has molested Monique on

    many occasions. Crack Addict as well.



    Grandma- 50 year old, Monique’s Grandma (please prepare a 1 minute monologue of your choosing.)
